From 1979 to 1982, Mr. Doxsee was employed by Clarkson Gordon (now Ernst and Young) Chartered Accountants.  During this period Mr. Doxsee worked with large public and private Canadian companies performing accounting, audit and tax work.  He gained insight into organizational methods, accounting systems and business methods of large successful companies.  From 1983 to 1985, he expanded on this experience with National Grocers (internal audit supervisor) and Brooke Bond Foods (budget manager).  From 1985 to 1989, Mr. Doxsee conducted income tax avoidance audits with Canada Revenue Agency gaining insight into complex and sophisticated tax planning methods for large organizations.  In 1989, Mr. Doxsee started his own public accounting business in Mississauga, Ontario specializing in representing private businesses.  The firm grew from a combination of internal growth and two successful acquisitions to be a successful leading local firm.  Mr. Doxsee's many years of business ownership provided direct personal experience in the challenge of owning a business.  The hundreds of private business owners served by Mr. Doxsee since 1989 have issues that impact business; financing and money matters for family businesses, including strategies for maximizing wealth while minimizing taxes; mergers and acquisitions; and business financing.

Mr. Doxsee graduated from Ryerson University in 1979 with a diploma in Business Management and earned a place on the Dean's list in all three years.  While working full time, he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management from Ryerson University in 1981.  He holds a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA) designation (1982), a U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (1997), and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation (2009).  He is certified in mergers and acquisitions (CM&A) by the Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors.  Mr. Doxsee founded the Entrepreneurial CAs of Mississauga - a not for profit group formed as a forum for local Entrepreneurial CAs.  He is a member of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants, The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,  and the Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors.  He resides in Oakville, Ontario.
